The Catholic Academy of Sacred Music is a liturgical music initiative in northeastern Kansas that partners with parishes/groups to provide quality education to children in the areas of music theory, vocal performance, choral singing and keyboard skills.

Currently more than 200 children take part in four locations spread across the Archdiocese of Kansas City (Kansas), meeting once or twice weekly and collectively singing more than 40 Masses and 90 Vespers during the academic year.

By providing high quality music education at the service of the Sacred Liturgy, the Catholic Academy works to offer children the opportunity to experience the riches of the Church’s treasury of Sacred Music within the context of the Roman Liturgy, helping to form Christians dedicated to the lifelong praise and worship of God.
